One Day Cycling in Nepal ( Kathmandu )

This trail is perfect for beginners and within easy reach from Thamel. You only need half a day for this ride as it takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete and return back to your hotel. You will be riding on a smooth trail with so many Newar villages passing by and most importantly, the beautiful landscapes around you.

One of the most challenging trails in Kathmandu, the route goes to Kakani (2030m), an excellent hill station on the valley rim, and then to Budhanilkantha, and comes back to your hotel in Kathmandu. You need around 5 to 6 hours for this route. Most of the trail passes via Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park letting you time to explore the place rich in flora and fauna.

This technical ride, which takes about 4 to 5 hours, starts from Kathmandu, heads to Budhanilkantha and then to Kopan Monastery. Kapan Monastery is on a hilltop in Kathmandu valley with a superb view of the valley and mountains. From the monastery, it returns back to your hotel.

This is another biking route within easy reach from Thamel but rather harder than other trails. This moderate ride takes you on a 21-km serpentine road to the top of Nagarjun Hill (2128m) inside Shivapuri National Park. The viewpoint from the top offers some of the amazing views of the valley and mountains. It takes around 5 to 6 hours for the completion of this route.
