Corporate Social Reponsibility

Child Sponsorship Program

Because the cost of an education is a financial burden on their families, many talented students in Nepal’s rural areas are deprived of a quality education; instead, their parents send their kids abroad to work, particularly as laborers. Our Child Sponsorship program helps these students acquire a quality education. Our company not only works to make your trips to the Himalayas memorable, but also donates to causes that help underprivileged children.

Through a variety of initiatives, including the construction of a community library, restrooms, building renovations, and awareness campaigns, we carry out our social actions. One of our company’s main programs is the Child Sponsorship program. We provide financial support to gifted and diligent students of various ages and academic standings for their educational, medical, stationery, and living needs in various regions of the nation.

With the assistance of several charitable organizations, we amass donations from nations including Nepal, Australia, Bhutan, Finland, Israel, and Canada.

Guide and Porter Policies

In order to have a beneficial effect on the environment, team members, clients, and community, Green Getaways believes in sustainability and responsible tourism practices. We are aware that if we look after our porters and trekking guides, they will look after our clients. Above all, as a responsible tour operator, we want to provide our trekking staff with the greatest working environments so that they can take care of our guests and help them to get the most out of the trip.

We’ve frequently heard tales of porters being abandoned on mountain tops or shivering outside tents while travelers enjoy themselves inside.  To ensure that the working conditions of our trekking guides and porters are of the highest caliber, Green Getaways treats and adheres to the our Guide and Porter Policy:

Responsible Tourism and Sustainable Policy

In the tourism industry, everyone has a responsibility to practice responsible tourism, hence it is absolutely necessary. Our culture and tradition represent our values, beliefs, and sense of duty because our company and way of life depend on the preservation of the natural environment. As a responsible travel agency, we constantly strive to have a good influence on the socio-cultural, economic, and environmental aspects of the communities in which we work.

Every member of our staff, including our tour guides and porters, is aware of their duties in ensuring that responsible tourism is a reality on every trip. Our guides provide group members a briefing about the significance of environmental protection and our vibrant culture before the tour starts. We support initiatives that raise awareness and preserve a hygienic and healthy living environment. Visit our responsible tourism standards to learn more about the principles we uphold and encourage all of our visitors to observe.

RT Regulations

In essence, we ask all of our visitors to follow cultural norms. This might signify various things depending on the country, so do your research on the place you’re going before you go. Try to learn a bit of the local tongue and read up on religion and culture. This will make traveling more enjoyable. With a little effort, you will discover that you leave having gained a better understanding of various cultures and feeling content with having made a beneficial impact on the nation you visited.

We expect everyone on a Green Getaways Trip to behave in accordance with some general rules.

Trishuli River Clean-Up Campaign

On the occasion of our anniversary, we commemorate the Trishuli River Clean-Up Campaign every year. Visitors that come for various adventures like rafting and canyoning damage the Trishuli River area. Up to a two-kilometer section of the river’s banks, and occasionally all of them, are cleaned by us. The local population has given us their unwavering support for this initiative.

The Trishuli River Rafting and Cleaning Campaign then evolved into yet another critical step in the direction of our objectives of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and responsible tourism with environmental preservation.  Despite the fact that our cleaning program is small-scale in organization, it has been successful in raising environmental consciousness among many residents.
