Overview

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking in Nepal is an enthralling mix of excellent trekking and spectacular wilderness with a backdrop of high peaks. Following an ancient trade route to Tibet, we climb beyond the rhododendron and bamboo forests, terraced fields and quaint villages of the lowlands, to reach a world of glaciers and magnificent peaks at the Annapurna Base Camp, 4130m. This amazing trek follows a gorge leading into the mountain fortress known as the “Annapurna Sanctuary”, the divine abode of the Hindu goddesses Annapurna and Gangapurna. Our Annapurna Base Camp Trekking itinerary also includes a hike along high ridges to Ghorepani and a pre-dawn walk up to Poon Hill to watch the sun’s first rays touch the peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna, one of the most beautiful panoramic views in the Annapurna region.
