Overview

Mohare Danda 3300m is comparatively a new trekking route in Annapurna’s foothills which is now opened as an ecotourism destination in Nepal. The trek promotes conservation of the natural environment, equally improving the living standard of the living people. The trek provides some of the best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Trekkers can enjoy the wonderful culture, local home stays and eco lodges, nature, friendly people and stunning view of the longest series of the Himalayas. Moreover we also see the glorious sunrise and sunset views over the glittering mountains.

Schedule Details

DAY 01: NAMASTE IN KATHMANDU 1300M
  • Be welcomed and assisted by our representative at the airport. A short drive takes you to your hotel where you can rest or take a short walk to see the surroundings.
  • If you arrive early, make a visit to Asan, the central market of Kathmandu and Garden of Dreams in central Kathmandu.
  • In the evening, enjoy the relish welcome dinner at Thakali restaurants with some cultural music and dance.

DAY 02: DRIVE TO POKHARA 850M
  • After breakfast, you take the road to the 2nd biggest tourist city of Nepal, Pokhara. It has become a very important city since the start of trekking in Nepal. The area is situated in a subtropical valley and constitutes lakes and hardcore adventures. The very popular Phewa Lake is also quite close to your hotel. You can walk by foot or rent a cycle and discover the lake side on reaching.
  • The best option to explore Lakeside is to hire a cycle and go cycling. Pame is a popular destination for cyclists which takes only 30 minutes from Lakeside. Get a panoramic view of the Annapurna range from Pame and Lakeside.

DAY 03: DRIVE TO GALESHWOR AND TREK TO BANS KHARKA 1525M
  • Today, we took a three and half hours’ drive to Galeshwor along the bank of Kali Gandaki River and a mountainous road. Upon reaching Galeshwor, we start the trek ascending above the deepest gorge of Kaligandaki along the green forests. On the trail, we cross many suspension bridges.

DAY 04: TREK TO NAANGI 2230M
  • Along the beautiful villages with the stunning view of the mountains, we reach Naangi today for overnight. Pass through the rhododendron and beautiful landscapes.

DAY 05: TREK TO MOHARE DANDA 3330M
  • Today passes through the beautiful forests of oak and rhododendron with the stunning views of the Mt Fishtail and Annapurna range. In the evening, enjoy the glorious sunset from the Mohare Danda.

DAY 06: TREK TO KHIBANG 2060M
  • After enjoying the morning sunrise from Mohare Danda, we head towards the village of Khibang. Khibang is a small eco community known for its community forest and homestay. Along the way, you will have a chance to visit the community forest and an organic farm.

DAY 07: TREK TO TIKOT 2210M
  • Leaving Khibang, you will retrace your path downhill towards Tikot. Tikot is a small Magar settlement with their unique culture and traditions. There are community homestays in Tikot as well.

DAY 08: TREK FROM TIKOT TO TIPLYANG AND DRIVE TO POKHARA
  • Today will be your last day of trekking to the village of Tiplyang. Tiplyang is the small settlement nestled to the southwest of Annapurna massif on the bank of Kali Gandaki River. From Tiplyang, you will have a private transfer to your hotel in Pokhara.

DAY 09: FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU
  • After breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to the domestic airport in Pokhara for your flight back to Kathmandu.
    On reaching Kathmandu, you will have sightseeing activities in the UNESCO sites.
  • A short drive from the hotel takes you to Basantapur, known as Kathmandu Durbar Square. Explore the arts and architecture of ancient Nepal that are finely crafted in the monuments. Visit the Kumari house and learn about the living Goddess, “Kumari.”
  • Later you will be taken to Swayambhunath, also known as monkey temple. It is another UNESCO site in Kathmandu valley. There are seven in total. Swayambhunath is a Buddhist temple situated on a hilltop inside the Kathmandu valley. The temple is full of monkeys, monasteries, statues, visitors and some restaurants which give a 360 view of the Kathmandu valley.

DAY 10: FINAL DEPARTURE
